How Do They Work?

LG Heat Pumps

How Do They Work?

An air source heat pump or (ASHP) extracts heat from the outside air in the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its insides. An ASHP will extract an useable heat from the air even when the temperature is as low as minus 15° C outside and deliver heat for a warm and comfortable home.

The controls work in the same manner as your existing boiler and will turn on and off as required. An ASHP will deliver the heat via underfloor heating or radiators to the required temperature as you would expect, and in most cases be more efficient and cheaper to run.

The Unit That’s Right For You

The unit used will depend of the type of property and insulation values of it, there are three main types of ASHP’s available, high Temp, Low Temp and hybrid. The selected ASHP will depend on the requirements of the property and temperature needed.

We use a number of different heat pump manufacturers depending on the property requirements, however we do prefer LG as it offers excellent value for money and great warrantees.  We also have our own in house demonstration and training centre in Newton Abbot, which you are welcome to visit by appointment to see for yourself how this technology  works in the real world. So why not book an appointment to come and see us at our showroom to discuss your needs or we can visit you in your home.
